Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and provide a full range of physical therapist services in support of patient referrals
Test and measure the patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and/or respiratory and circulatory efficiency. Record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient
Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function
Instruct, motivate and assist patients in performing various physical activities
Note: This position is contingent upon winning a government award and will be renewed on an annual basis. Any interested person needs to be able to commit to at least 6 months
Required Skills
Required Experience
Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from a Physical Therapy program acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General and accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
A current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
Have at least 24 months of experience within the past 36 months as a physical therapist
