The Intermountain Heart Institute at Intermountain Medical Center (IMC) in Salt Lake City is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart! Failure/Transplant Cardiologist. The successful candidate will join an established team of 3 cardiologists, 5 cardiothoracic surgeons, and 4 cardiac intensivists with an exceptional multidisciplinary working relationship. The heart transplant program at IMC has been an integral member of the Utah Transplantation Affiliated Hospitals (U.T.A.H.) Cardiac Transplant Program consortium since its inception in 1985.
Our growing heart failure clinic at IMC is one of the busiest in the U.S. with over 5,000 annual patient visits. The service is amply supported by 8 NPs, 6 nurse coordinators, and a full-time pharmacist. Clinical in- and out-patient duties will be focused on the full spectrum of management modalities for advanced heart failure including VADs, the total artificial heart, and transplantation. Non-clinical protected time is available for candidates with research interest or potential. The recruited candidate will be expected to participate in activities that enh! ance program evelopment and quality of care as well as in teac! hing and educational programs.
