DDVBE Technology Group is seeking a Data Privacy/Governance Consultant to oversee the implementation of and compliance with a government agencywide privacy program ensuring appropriate governance, management, and protection of Government Agency Information, including Personal Information.
This position will require multi-day travel to Los Angeles, CA as required by the client. Other work will be done remotely. In this consulting position you will:
- Ensure that all Government Agency departments are compliant with applicable laws and regulations pertaining to data.
- Assist all Government Agency departments in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures regarding Privacy Threshold Assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Conduct Privacy Audits to assess potential privacy risks and managing appropriate privacy controls.
Responsiblities
- Conduct a comprehensive review of all Government Agency documents pertaining to privacy and any applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and conduct a project kick-off meeting to jointly review the project scope, associated details, and agency’s current workflows.
- Establish processes to manage all activities and tasks including communication, stakeholder engagement, budget tracking, and risk management.
- Develop and provide a Project Plan identifying project scope with objectives, project deliverables, work plan, dependencies and milestones pertaining to Privacy Program.
- Develop implementation guidelines, training instructional materials, and provide coordination and related support to implement the governance structure.
- Prepare a written analysis of the current Government Agencywide Privacy Program, including efficiencies, gaps, challenges for necessary compliance actions.
- Develop Privacy Threshold Assessment templates and Privacy Impact Assessment templates.
- Develop risk rating criteria (with heatmaps or other form of visual display of aggregated information from assessments).
- Conduct privacy audits and risk analysis of Agency Departments. Prepare quarterly summary audit report of work performed under this task with key audit findings, analysis and recommendations.
MUST MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:
1. Mandatory Skill – Privacy Program Development
- Organizational Policy Review and Drafting
- Development of Processes and Controls
- Regulatory/Legislative Monitoring, Reporting, Program Implementation, Training, and Tabletop Exercises
- Governance Frameworks
2. Mandatory Skill – Privacy Program Implementation
- Privacy Program Implementation through Deployment of Processes, Policies, and Controls to Mitigate Privacy Risk, Review of Compliance
- Regulatory/Legislative Requirements and Process Implementation, and Design and Develop Parameters and Schedules for Privacy Operations.
- Privacy Impact Assessments, Privacy Threshold Assessments, Privacy Risk Assessments, including Risk Models, Risk Assessment Methodologies, Gap Analysis, Approaches to Determining Privacy Risk Factors, and Assessments and Approaches Evaluating Privacy Risks associated with Engaging third-party Vendors.
3. Mandatory Skill – Privacy Audits
- Minimum three years’ experience within the last five years providing Privacy Audits Services, including regulatory compliance audits.
