Under the direction of the supervising physician, the selected candidate will provide general medical care, assessments, evaluation, treatment and some minor surgery for patients in clinics, public health agencies, health centers or institutions in accordance with the Physician Assistant Medical Practice Act. The incumbent may also direct/supervise medical staff. Successful candidates will possess: â€" a solid understanding of principles, theories, and practices of medicine â€" a knowledge of agency objectives, organization, structure and mission â€" an understanding of interactions and adverse reactions of drugs, medications and their dosage â€" a knowledge of operating applicable specialized equipment â€" knowledge of and ability to diagnose medical conditions â€" experience performing medical procedures This position requires an active license to be a Physician Assistant in the State of Utah.
