The Job description is as follows:
The Credentialing Specialist will work closely with sales teams and providers to ensure credentialing standards are achieved.
The Credentialing Specialist responsibilities include:
- Gathering and verifying healthcare practitioner information and adding it to a database
- Tracks and verifies accuracy of contracts, applications, and/ or lice! nses, and assures that ALL REQUIRED documents are signed and complete in the credentialing file
- Create recruit files, collects, scans and enters documents into files, and requests additional or missing information as needed
- Obtain verbal references for providers
- Correspondence with internal teams and worksites for hospital privilege credentialing
- Solicits verifications not obtained by the CVO such as hospitals, graduate medical education programs and references
- Mails and faxes verification requests to the appropriate sources as needed
- Submit Background Checks, drug screens and other annual expiring documents
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, web-based applications, internet, and database programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
- Strong org! anization skills and attention to detail and proven accuracy with recor! d keeping
- Demonstrated researching and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, directing work flow to appropriate departments
- High level of customer service
