This position on CHGâs Public Relations team will develop, execute, and measure PR programs for the company and its brands. The PR Manager must have a strong! background in public relations, media relations, cultural movements, and customer reference engagement. The PR Manager must have an established Rolodex of top-tier press relationships â" the position requires a seasoned public relations and communications professional who has proven experience managing relations and interaction with healthcare, consumer, and business media.
In addition to running the media relations programs for the company, this role offers the candidate the opportunity to help create and roll out a comprehensive social media program designed to raise awareness of the companyâs core businesses. The PR Manager will perform a wide range of tasks to facilitate PR activities, collaborating internally and externally with cross-functional teams to effectively execute communication projects that promote a positive public attitude and advocacy for CHG and its

Job Duties

The PR manager must be able to quickly understand! our business fundamentals, corporate vision, and strategy so that s/he can effectively distill complex concepts and business strategies into compelling media stories that support the companyâs corporate and brand goals.
- Identify, implement, evaluate and evolve CHGâs PR program for locum tenens, healthcare staffing and corporate awareness to increase understanding, awareness and usage of locums tenens
- Provide rapid response to media requests and facilitate interviews; identify and prepare spokespeople to effectively deliver key messages through traditional and non-traditional media channels
- Become an active adviser for executives and division decision makers to define and communicate our companyâs role in locum tenens highlighting its competitive differentiation, and its value to the marketplace
- Work extensively with business/trade media to establish and demonstrate CHG brandâs vision, strategy, direction, innovation, and! value in the ever evolving healthcare arena
- Understand complex staffing issues and positioning to translate them for division and corporate-level conversations in the media community
- Provide analysis for PR program results and make recommendations for improvement/change incorporating competitive analysis as a key part of the PR programâs guiding strategy
- Drive and execute announcements in a timely, efficient, organized manner.
- Drive locum tenens awareness by spotlighting consideration and preference for CHGâs brands
- Cultivate trusted partnerships with healthcare providers (e.g., LT physicians) and client facilities to procure stories/testimonials for media pitches
- Utilize customers and partners in innovative ways that differentiate CHGâs customer PR efforts from competitors
- Maintain a âfinger on the pulseâ of relevant healthcare and staffing issues highlighting trends that could affect the company
- Help educate the market by developing and executing thought leade! rship PR campaigns that provide education and context for the overall PR program around locum tenens and the value of external staffing collaboration
- Help drive creation of digital content team to drive online presence and champion new opportunities for outreach and differentiation communication tactics from other industry PR teams.
- Work with interactive team to establish processes for increasing SEO on all PR materials
- Prepare press materials including news releases, blog posts, fact sheets, editorial briefings, talking points, media pitches, background documents and other special projects as requested. Researching information to ensure all press materials are accurate and prepared as necessary.
- Collaborate with brand teams on divisional award strategies, providing quality
- Research speaking opportunities and work with brand teams and leaders to prepare submis! sion materials
- Update press room pages on brand websites and collaborate with brand teams to develop online press kits containing resources suitable for print and broadcast use
- Represent CHG in a positive and effective manner, exhibiting behavior consistent with CHGâs core values
- Provide writing support to horizontal teams, e.g., blog posts for brand websites
- Collaborate with brand teams to develop owned media
- Represent CHG and/or its brands at special events and activities
Skills:
The PR manager must be both a strategic thinker and a reliable executor. S/He should be a diplomat and a consultative adviser who can interact with a variety of personalities, influence others, and build consensus. A collaborator by nature, this position must be able to interact and work with decision makers from business units, marketing, strategic alliances and other corp! orate functions to support proper positioning and message development f! or outbound communications.

- Strong track record of running successful communications programs
- Bachelorâs degree in public relations, communications, journalism or related field
- 5+ years of PR experience, preferably with traditional and social media expertise
- Experience in the healthcare field strongly preferred
- Expertise in defining and rolling out social media vehicles that are creative and impactful
