Broadview University, Layton campus seeks individuals interested in the Resident Veterinarian positi! on. This is a temporary position beginning April 1, 2013 lasting approximately one year.
This position provides leadership, authority and credentials required for animal use in education. The Resident Veterinarian is responsible for the care and use of all animals and shares a substantial role in the management of the department, development of the program and instruction of staff and students. This position will be required to perform and supervise surgeries.
Ideal candidates are patient, well-prepared and passionate about their discipline and have a desire to contribute to the training of our next generation of professionals. We operate on a quarterly calendar, with courses running for 11 weeks.
Ideal candidates possess the following qualities:

strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on quick response time
effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
demonstra! ted ability to learn and use technology quickly and adeptly adaptability; able to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
passion and enthusiasm for discipline or area of profession
- DVM required (must have a current DVM license in Utah)- Minimum of 3 years experience as a DVM in the field. - Teaching experience preferred but not required Earned degrees must be awarded by a postsecondary institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Credentials earned at a foreign institution must be from an institution recognized by the respective government and will be evaluated for equivalency to U.S. degrees.
