KEY REQUIREMENTS

Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.
Must pass pre-employment examination.
Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.
Background and/or Security Investigation required.

Must be proficient in written and spoken English DUTIES:
The Administrative Medicine physician performs Compensation and Pension evaluations following program guidelines. Conducts history and physical examinations, orders labs and diagnostics and evaluates results. Evaluates work related injuries and the impacts of injuries in regards to future employment

The selected candidate will work Monday - Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

BASIC REQUIREM ENTS:
U.S. citizenship . Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. D egree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:
(1) Schools of medicine holding regular institutional membership in the Association of American Medical Colleges for the year in which the degree was granted.
(2) Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted.
(3) Schools (including foreign schools) accepted by the licensing body of a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico), or in the District of ! Columbia as qualifying for full or unrestricted license.
(4) For re! sidents, graduation from an approved medical school as described above is required except as provided in M-8, part II, chapter 1. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. The physician must maintain current registration in the State of licensure if this is a requirement for continuing active, current licensure. Impaired Licensure . A physician who has, or has ever had, any license(s) revoked, suspended, denied, restricted, limited, or issued/placed in a probationary status may be appointed only in accordance with the provisions of chapter 3, section B, paragraph 14 of this part.
