The job description is as follows:
The Director of Real Estate and Construction is responsible for all facilities development including property acquisition, design, construction control, lease negotiation and broker management. Will be responsible all new construction of new facilities and construction at existing facilities. This person will manage broker relationships and ensure that each lease and amendment meets CHG’s standards. This person will work with Sr. Leadership to establish a long term space and facilities strategy.
Job Duties:
- Manage the all real estate transactions
- Responsible for all new construction
- Manage new construction project managers, general contractors or ot! her construction related leaders
- Develop and manage capital expenditure budget
- Select and purchase systems and ancillary furniture including related furniture assets
- Represent, communicate and lead real estate and new construction strategy
- Ability to effectively manage multiple real estate transactions
- Ability to effectively manage multiple construction projects
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior planning and organizations skills with a high attention to detail and deadline-oriented.
- Ability to understand, interpret and analyze financial data
- Contract negotiation expertise
- Ability to think strategically and manage multiple initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-pa! ced environment
- 7 years or more demonstrated experience working in commercial real estate, development of real estate and/or construction management
- Experience leading multiple project leaders
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of time
- Experience understanding, interpreting and analyzing and presenting financial data
- Ability to think strategically and manage multiple initiatives
- Collaborative, fosters a team environment with remote team members
