Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse! : Provides direct & indirect patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting.
Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians/Director/Charge Nurse /coâ€"workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies & symptom logy. Responds quickly & accurately to patient changes in condition/response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Additional functions when acting as Charge Nurse: Make patient care assignments based on the skill, experience, & temperament of nursing personnel & on acuity of patients, ensuring patient, staff safety, assist in the evaluation of performance & skills of Agency/Temporary staff & regular nursing staff. Responsibly directs & precepts staff members as needed/assigned in all aspects of patient care management. Participates in quality & process improvement in the department! during all phases from planning to implementing and sustaining efforts! . Requirements Current Nursing license for the State of UtahMust have one year of L&D experience within the last 3 years.BLS or CPR required issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Healthcare ProviderACLS and PALS preferred.Computer & Internet Skills required.Additional Language skills preferred.Must be able to communicate fluently in English PreferencesFetal heart monitoring and EKG readings or use of equipment preferred.Additional language skills preferred.
