Your Role

Development of a competitive, reliable & innovative customs standalone product in the Netherlands, by: - Creating compelling value proposition for Kuehne + Nagel customs standalone product - Acquire new customs standalone business from international and local accounts - Full P&L Ownership for the customs product to ensure profitable growth - Lead, coordinate and drive the development of commercial strategies to win large/multi-country and SME opportunities in stand-alone customs business - Key objective is becoming a market-leading provider of highly digitized and compliant customs brokerage solutions in the region for stand-alone customs brokerage.

Your Responsibilities

The role of the CZ includes:

  • Develop business development-plan to boost revenues in customs standalone
  • Analysis of the customs brokerage market in NL, mapping relevant verticals, customers, local and regional industry trends
  • Assesses market trends and opportunities and translates these into new customs approach with reconciliation against exiting product design and product response
  • Draft a roadmap for customs standalone NL based on EUR strategic value-prop and growth aspiration including focus markets, technical and commercial product development, go to market approach and value proposition
  • Define target accounts and pursue opportunities in collaboration with sales teams and by own initiative
  • Support country customs teams to establish road standalone product and teams
  • Increase connectivity with customers, suppliers, internal partners and customs authorities via digital interfaces, bots, automated uploads etc.
  • Establishes strong relationship with client’s financial decision-maker as their single point of contact for all lines of business.
  • Manages client relationships by conducting client visits to understand their cross-border trade requirements.
  • Be 1st point of contact for Sales organization – Key Account and Field Sales organization for customs brokerage related opportunities

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Being self-starter being able to develop a new business from almost 0.
  • Truly growth driven, and willing and capable to approach the market and key customers on his / her own – sometimes as a cold call.
  • Tech-savvy being able to identify digitization potential and finding solutions fitting KN technology landscape.
  • Experience and capability to be a successful functional leader, not being responsible for day to day management, but managing regional initiatives, campaigns and projects
