Are you an experienced hands-on test automation expert seeking for a new challenge?
Kalmar’s Digital Solutions team is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join the Strategy, Sustainability and Technology division in Tampere.
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will get to contribute to our vision of providing unparalleled customer service experiences, by developing our software products for our customers.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Help develop products as well as build system testing capabilities for various projects including our AWS-based IoT cloud platform
- Different aspects of system testing, ranging from crafting test cases to integrating system testing as well as automated build pipelines
- As a senior member of the team, you will get to share your knowledge and experiences with the rest of the Test Automation and DevOps professionals
- Engaging with various teams working with frontend and backend software solutions, collaborating to develop and maintain software products for our customers as part of our digital offering
- Analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving various issues together with the rest of the team.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Several years (at least 4-5 years) of professional experience in designing and developing system tests
- Prior experience from various different aspects of system testing and a proven track record of programming fit-for-purpose system testing solutions
- Aim to understand the system being tested by studying the architecture and learning the related cutting-edge technologies.
- Well-versed using modern DevOps tools and practices to produce quality software solutions, as well as agile and lean software development methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge in Python as well as experience with tools, frameworks, and technologies related to designing and implementing system tests, such as Robot Framework, Browser Library, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines and Docker
- Prior experience from performance testing frameworks such as locust is seen as a bonus and knowledge in TypeScript will help you to understand how our applications are developed.
- Good communication and collaboration skills are essential.
