Hospital Privilege Coordinator

Location: Salt Lake City Utah

Description: CHG Healthcare Services is presently looking of Hospital Privilege Coordinator right now, this position will be placed in Utah. Summary The Medical Staff Services Hospital Privileging Department processes privileging/credentialing applications for CompHealth Physician Division’s providers who have been accepted to assignments where hospital privileges and/or credentials are necessary. Hospital privilege coordinators track applications from providers to medical staff offices and assist in the verification processes required by hospitals where the provider must be privileged. This is done accordance with CHG Healthcare Services corporate credentialing and privileging policies and procedures, mission, core values and department expectations.

Job Duties Essential - Arrange hospital privileges and credentialing for physicians according to client(s) medical staff rules and regulations or bylaws Coordinate with locum recruiters and candidates to obtain client’s required documentation including verifications of education, work experience and references prior to the start of an assignment Interface with operational leaders to ensure recruiters and other sales staff are briefed on the status and outcome of provider applications Assist clients in getting all documents needed to process the hospital privilege/credentialing application Request and track checks for application fees Responsible for completing all credentialing necessary to privilege physicians at worksites Provide direct support when necessary to the Manager of Hospital Privileging and/or Director of Medical Staff Services and completes other duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills:
Essential - Accurately type 45 wpm Strong computer skills in word processing and database programs. MS Word and MS Excel preferred. Excellent attention to detail Great communication skills both written and verbal

Experience & Education:
Essential - High school diploma or equivalent Two years work experience in an administrative position supporting professional level functions in a fast paced, team environment. Minimum one year in a clerical/support position.

Non-essential - Work experience in the healthcare or staffing industries Working knowledge of medical terminology College Education

Abilities:
Essential - Work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Prioritize and organize tasks effectively and independently. Process a large amount of documentation in a timely and professional manner.
