The Department of Orthopaedics, University of Utah, is now accepting applications for a tenure track instructor, assistant or associate professor level position in Pediatric ! Orthopaedic Surgeon with interest in Spine Surgery.
Minimum requirements include completion of a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and a minimum of one year advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
Candidates with specific interest and strong research experience and publication track record in clinical or engineering in orthopedic and pediatric spinal disease will be highly considered. The individual will be expected to practice, general pediatric orthopedics, help with orthopedic pediatric call and focus some of the practice on the care of children with spinal disorders.The applicant should have a demonstrated ability and/or experience in clinical or basic science research and a sincere desire to develop a focused research program in musculoskeletal disorders, and/or innovation which will include patenting new devices, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national meetings. Evidence of previous academic activity and p! romise required.
