The Children's unit at Riverton Hospital is a 30-bed inpatient unit that provides care for patients who don't need ! to travel to Primary Children's Medical Center to receive care for more complex illnesses. It is a convenient alternative for families seeking pediatric specialty care in the southwest part of Salt Lake County. It is located at 3773 West 12600 South in Riverton.
A dynamic and proactive Pediatric Technician (Ped. Tech) is a trained caregiver that assists under the direction of a Registered Nurse (R.N.) with admitting patients to PACU and Post Ops. Ped Tech’s are given the opportunity to apply their clinical skills to patients by surveying medical equipment, monitors and sensors, by interacting with the pediatric patients while transporting them to their medical destination, and tending to their healthcare needs and overall healing process.
A resourceful Ped Tech is a valued contributor to the medical staff when keeping thorough charts, preparing medical rooms and assisting with procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively in a crisis or disaster si! tuation and maintain competent work levels.

Entry Rate: $10.08
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Shift Details: 40 Hours per week. Monday through Friday. Shifts are eight (8) hours in length and start between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Department: This position supports Primary Children's Same Day Surgery located at Riverton Hospital. Will float to OR, Post Op, Pre-op and PACU.
Minimum Requirements
This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification. An original card must be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn. For additional information regarding CPR requirements please visit our Job Requirements Page .
