The Patient Care Coordinator role is central to helping our patients return to a fulfilling life. Our TV commercials, web contacts, and other marketing efforts le! ad to several scheduled patient consultations. All of our consultations are set-up for the Care Coordinator by our call center. The Care Coordinator then is responsible for the entire relationship with our patients, and works with the Prosthodontist, Oral Surgeon’s office, and other dental caregivers to coordinate the entire experience. It is very rewarding to help a person change their life!
Specific job responsibilities include:
Patient commitment and conversion. Handles sale of treatment:
â€" Greets patient
â€" Reviews what we do as a company (gives tour of facility)
â€" Reviews treatment options for patient
â€" With the prosthodontist and dental assistant, creates the Treatment Plan
â€" Commits patient to course of treatment
Financial counseling. Provides financial expertise and support for patient:
â€" Assesses patient’s financial situation
â€" Reviews payment options with patient
â€" Handles all r! equired submissions for patient
â€" Shepherds patient thro! ugh financial solutioning process
Personal resource. Acts as concierge for the patient & family:
â€" Fields phone calls via cell any time patient has a question
â€" Specifically suggests a conversation with family member/support structure
â€" Calls all customers after initial consult to thank patient for their vis it
â€" Handles gift for all patients once treatment is complete
Logistics management. Handles arrangements for treatment :
â€" Interacts with surgeon’s office on surgical procedure issues
â€" Ensures procedure equipment and supplies are arranged for
Marketing Outreach and Relationships. Participates in the development of new business:
â€" Helps develop and manage outreach programs to other dentists and oral surgeons in their area
â€" Achieves specific growth targets in volume and revenues
â€" Reports on progress against objectives to plan
â€" Calls all customers after initial consul! t to thank patient for their visit
Other job responsibilities as required.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
1. Two to five years (or more) of professional experience encompassing the activities listed below. Alternately, a B.S. degree in a business-related field
2. Previous sales experience closing accounts with revenue commitments from $2,000 to $40,000.
3. Ability to travel between offices in Salt Lake City and Layton .
4. Excellent interpersonal and phone communication skills.
5. Previous healthcare services or dental services experience and/or knowledge strongly preferred (ability to field clinically-oriented questions from patients).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
1. Understanding of financial alternatives open to those with healthcare expenses, including FSAs, HSAs, and other pre-tax based payment alternatives.
2. Project management or office management experience in a healthcare clinic, hospital, or dental c! linic.
3. Knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint software programs.
