Description: Intermountain Home Care is currently seeking to employ Billing Specialist, Same Day Surgery - Primary Children's Medical Center right now, this vacancy will be placed in Utah. This position is responsible for the accurate facility and short stay billing ! of all same day surgery, PACU and Post-Op procedures and charges. The role of the Billing Specialist is to provide "Extraordinary Care" to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional services. The Billing Specialist has the opportunity to use their valuable skills and resources by responding to questions, researching discrepancies and insurance denials and following Intermountain's policies and procedures to minimize uncollectible accounts processed by Medicaid, Medicare and Insurance companies.
Entry Rate: $11.54
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Shift Details: Full-time position, working 40 hours a week. Position will be scheduled 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m..

Minimum Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
Demonstrated ability to appropr! iately plan and prioritize work in a proactive and independent! manner
Demonstrated organizational skills
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
Demonstrated computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, email, and data input
Physical Requirements
Hearing, listening, manual dexterity, seeing and speaking
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with medical charging/coding
Experience working with any of the following programs: AS400, Microsoft Window, HELP1, HELP2, ORMIS, or Tandem
Admitting, collection, or insurance verification experience
Prior experience working in medical billing
