Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse:
Provides direct & indirect patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians/Director/Charge Nurse /co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies & symptom logy. Responds quickly & accurately to patient changes in condition/response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Additional functions when acting as Charge Nurse: Make patient care assignments based on the skill, experience, & temper! ament of nursing personnel & on acuity of patients, ensuring patient, staff safety, assist in the evaluation of performance & skills of Agency/Temporary staff & regular nursing staff. Responsibly directs & precepts staff members as needed/assigned in all aspects of patient care management. Participates in quality & process improvement in the department during all phases from planning to implementing and sustaining efforts.

Qualifications
Requirements
Must have 2 years L&D experience is required.
Current Nursing license for the State of Utah
Must have one year of L&D experience within the last 3 years.
BLS or CPR required, ACLS and PALS preferred.
Computer & Internet Skills required.
Additional Language skills preferred.
Must be able to communicate fluently in English
Preferences
Fetal heart monitoring! and EKG readings or use of equipment preferred.
Additional La! nguage skills preferred.
