The job description is as follows:
The Licensing Coordinator II is responsible for compiling required documents, researching necessary information and interacting with licensing boards and physicians in order to obtain medical licenses in states where providers may be placed on assignment.

The Licensing Coordinator’s responsibilities include:

  • Compiles documents, researches and verifies provider backgrounds, acts as liaison between medical board and providers obtaining updates on the status of applications and reporting progress.
  • Updates status of license applications in the in-house database so other teams can access information throughout licensing process.
  • Requests and verifies documentation and information pertai! ning to provider credentials and certifications for licensure.
  • Scrutinizes provider applications and resumes checking for consistency and accuracy.
  • Communicates with boards regarding licensure qualifications and specific licensing questions and updates state profiles accordingly.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple hard deadlines
  • Proven time management skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
  • Prioritize and organize tasks and time effectively and independently
  • Process a large amount of documentation in a timely and professional manner
  • Ability to professionally handle difficult conversations in person and over the phone
  • Strong or! ganization skills and attention to detail and proven accuracy with reco! rd keeping
  • Demonstrated researching and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, directing work flow to appropriate departments
  • High level of customer service and follow through
  • Work cohesively with all divisions and departments
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, web-based applications, internet, and database programs
