The Athletic Trainer is part of an actively engaged healing team at Intermountain Orthopedic Specialty Group in Riverton. The team is committed ! to providing therapy, treatments, education and exercise programs to patients and athletes. This position requires excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of the team. While under the direction of Dr. John Brady, the Athletic Trainer will assess and chart the progress of patient to determine if modifications of therapy or treatment need to be rendered.
Looking for an energetic and innovative individual to join this growing and busy practice. The incumbent will support a physician specializing in orthopedic surgery and treating adults, adolescents and children. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting patients with implementing exercise sheets after surgery. Duties will also include splinting and casting. In addition, the Athletic Trainer will help with checking patients in, returning patient calls, scheduling and insurance pre-authorization.

Entry Rate: $17.08, commensurate with experience

Shift Details: Full-time position working 40 hours per week. Shifts are currently Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Minimum Requirements
Current licensure as an Athletic Trainer or license eligible in the state of Utah
This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification. An original card must be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn. For additional information regarding CPR requirements please visit our Job Requirements Page.
Experience in a variety of computer programs including databases, word processing, and internet
Physi! cal Requirements
Carrying, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication skills
Basic understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation procedures
Previous experience with splinting and casting
Previous Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) experience
Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA Certification Board)
