The Facilities Department of the Long Beach Community College District is seeking qualified individuals for a current opportunity as a Custodial Supervisor I! This incumbent will need to have sound business communication skills and possess the skill to lead a diverse team. We are looking for someone who has obtained graduation from high school or GED equivalency. Additionally, this candidate must have three years of journey-level experience in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities, at least one of which was in lead capacity. Mon-Thurs 10p- 6:30am and Friday 4p-12:30am - Position Status:
- Location: Liberal Art Campus, but will support both campuses

Salary: Range MGMT 1 $ 58,654 -$ 79,917
Advanced salary placement: Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. GENERAL PURPOSE
Under direction of a Plant Manager, plans, coordinates, prioritizes and supervises the work of assigned night shift custodial personnel engaged in the cleaning of District buildings and facilities at an assigned campus; and performs related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and three years of journey-level experience in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities, at least one of which was in a lead capacity; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
May require a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the district's vehicle insurance policy.
Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements, and are deemed most competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.

Incomplete or late applications will be disqualified from further consideration. Qualified candidates will be notified in writing if they are moving forward in the selection process.
Application Process:

Unofficial transcripts are accepted during this phase. For experience substitution in lieu of education, please make sure to attach a statement clearly outlining how your additional experience covers the education requirement, on a year-for-year basis, and qualifies you to be considered for this position.
- If you participate in and fail any examination segment, you must wait a period of 90 days (~3 months) to test again for the same classification.

An Online Written Test or Oral Panel Interview may be used to assess applicant qualifications. Test parts are determined by the size and competitiveness of the candidate pool.
The qualified candidates will be placed on an unranked list. Seniority points for internal existing LBCC employees and points for Veteran's credit will not be added. The unranked list will be submitted to the hiring authority for consideration.
