Today, it's a proud part of Best Friends Animal Society, still focused entirely on the great state of Utah, and serving as an exemplary model for the rest of the country. Our nationally-recognized work focuses on increasing adoptions of shelter cats and dogs, creating access to free and low-cost spay/neuter services, and collaborating with Utah shelters, rescue groups, veterinarians and local governments to save the lives of homeless pets. So far, these innovative efforts have helped reduce the number of animals killed in Utah's shelters by 35 percent.
Together with you, we will turn Utah into a state with No More Homeless Pets.We are searching for Veterinary Technicians for our spay and neuter clinics located in Salt Lake City and Orem, UT. Our mobile spay and neuter clinic based in Salt Lake City provides about 5,000 high quality, low cost spay and neuter surgeries to the public annually. The mobile unit operates on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays and travels! to multiple sites across Northern Utah. Our second clinic bas! ed in Orem, UT had impressive results in 2012 by performing the highest number of surgeries in its eight year history, a total of over 10,000 surgeries.
