This is to replace ! orthopedist who will be retiring. This is a General Orthopedic position that is solo with shared call of 1 in 2 call. We are looking for someone who is going to have a half time to ¾ time practice. Any more than 10 days of call a month is paid. Either hospital based employed salary position or private practice but would strongly prefer to do employment. Income range plus relocation paid and sign-on bonus. Position needs to be for someone who can grow a practice. They will have a new office in a new MedicalOfficeBuilding attached to the hospital. In general the two of them combined have been doing between 50 and 70 cases per month. Pay is $300 for any weekday over 7; $600 for any weekend day (including Friday) over 3, and $750 for a holiday. Because this is less than a full time practice we cannot accept visa candidates for this position. B/E, B/C, is fine, as are both practicing docs and residents although most residents are not going to be interested in this position and ! this is a better fit for a practicing physician.

AVMC has 24 full time physicians, 92% Board Certified, specialties include family practice, OB-GYN, internal medicine, pediatrics, radiology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, and general surgery. The hospital has a 24-hour Emergency Services, seeing 15,000 visits a year. Our OB department boasts two beautiful birthing suites and delivers over 400 babies a year. Services available at Ashley Valley Medical Center include, MRI, CT Scan, mammography, nuclear medicine scans, PH and mannometry studies, chemotherapy, physical and occupational therapy, and a C.A.P. certified laboratory.
