Location: Vernal UT
New opportunity for a general orthopedic surgeon seeking a lifestyle change! This is a hospita! l employed position in the beautiful mountain community of Vernal, UT. The opportunity is the result of an established ORS planning to relocate. The two orthopedists have been performing 50 to 70 cases per month. The work schedule is reasonable and can be fitted into 4 days/week. Candidate will need to take some call which is negotiable. Trauma is light with complex trauma being stabilized and shipped to Salt Lake City. Competitive financial package plus paid malpractice, relocation, attractive signing bonus, and more.
The Medical Center is a 39-bed acute-care, Joint Commission-accredited facility. The hospital has affiliations with 30 physicians whose specialties include Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Radiology, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN and General Surgery. Other services include MRI, 64-slice CT Scan, Digital Mammography, Nuclear Medicine Scans, PH and Manometry Studies, Chemotherapy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy and a C.O.L.A. Certified ! Laboratory. Ashley Regional Medical Center has had three expan! sions in the last 10 years including ER, OB, radiology, lab, surgery, ICU, registration and physician office space. The Emergency Department sees over 12,000 patients and the new OB department with Level II Nursery has over 450 deliveries per year. Ashley Regional has been recognized by Health Insight and other objective sources for excellence in quality indicators and measures.
Vernal, the county seat of Uintah County, is a progressive city that recently won the “America in Bloom†award for its efforts to beautify the community.
