The Mohs Technician cares for patients, assists in Mohs surgery, and pre! pares Mohs specimen slides for physician review.
Entry Rate: $16.78 or more depending on experience
Benefits Eligible: No
Shift Details: Part-Time, 16 hours a week. The clinic is open Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Fridays 8:30am to 12:15pm and closed Weekdays 12:30-1:30pm.
Minimum Requirements
Successful completion of an accredited medical assisting program (education is verified) -OR- one or more years of experience in a Mohs practice as a Mohs technician including preparation of at least 400 pathology slides (verified in reference check)
This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification. An original card must be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn. For additional information regarding CPR requirements please visit our Job Requirements Page
Demonstrated detail oriented and highly organized, with good manual dexterit! y and adequate visual acuity
Demonstrated excellent i! nterpersonal and communication skills
Physical Requirements
Seeing, hearing/listening, speaking, standing, sitting, manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications
Previous training and /or experience in histology / Mohs laboratory
Successful completion of a Mohs specific Quality Assurance training program recognized by a national professional organization
